Educational Philosophy
Education is the foundation of our society, as an educator, we have the unique ability to shape and change the world. Education is where dreams become reality, desires become achievements, and where we get the first glimpse of the future. Today, as an educator we play so many roles and therefore hold the highest most notable position in society. Our job is to provide a unique and individualized education for every student to prepare them for their own journeys.
My philosophy is that of servant leadership, shared decision making, and motivational theory. I reflect on a quote by Simon Sinek “Leadership is not about being in charge leadership is about taking care of those in your charge”. With that, I view leadership with an equity lens showing that I am deliberate and intentional in servicing the students and my staff meeting the individual needs of all stakeholders. Coinciding with the paradigm as it pertains to leadership, I believe that leadership is above all collaboration and teamwork.
